Thai Facial Massage Glasgow

If tension accumulates at your jaw, temples, or the base of your skull, a Thai facial massage Glasgow session targets exactly those points.

Thai Facial Massage

This is a treatment for people who carry stress in their face and head, and who want something more considered than a basic facial.

Thai facial massage works across the face, head, and neck using acupressure, gentle kneading, lymphatic drainage strokes, and rhythmic tapping. Unlike a cosmetic facial, the focus is therapeutic. It releases the small, often tight muscles of the jaw, brow, and scalp.

Thai Facial Massage Glasgow

Therapists apply varied pressure through the fingers and palms, following the same Sen energy line principles that underpin traditional Thai massage across the body. This gives the treatment a structural logic — not just surface contact, but deliberate work through layers of muscle and fascia.

The treatment covers the scalp, face, neck, and upper shoulders. This makes it a deeply connected experience, not just a skin treatment. You can book your Thai facial massage session online to get started.

Benefits of Thai Facial Massage

  • Releases tight jaw muscles, brow tension, and scalp tightness
  • Improves circulation to the face, supporting skin tone and radiance
  • Reduces puffiness around the eyes and jawline through lymphatic drainage
  • Eases tension headaches coming from the scalp and neck
  • Supports collagen production and helps maintain skin firmness over time
  • Promotes deep relaxation and a calm, clear-headed feeling after the session

Who Is Thai Facial Massage For?

This treatment suits anyone who holds tension in their face without realising it — people who clench their jaw, squint at screens, or carry persistent headaches.

It also works well for those in Glasgow’s professional community. If you spend long hours at a desk and notice tightness creeping into your neck and temples, this treatment addresses that directly. Already familiar with Serendipity’s massage treatments? This is the natural next step for your face and head.

What to Expect from Your Session

Sessions typically run for 30 to 60 minutes. You stay fully clothed in comfortable attire, and no oils are applied unless you request them.

Your therapist works from the shoulders upward, addressing the neck, scalp, face, and forehead in a structured sequence. Pressure is soft throughout, adapted to how your face and jaw respond on the day.

After the session, most clients feel noticeably lighter through the face and head. Some feel a mild, pleasant tiredness from the deep release of facial tension. The clarity you feel is like having slept particularly well.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below we have a selection of frequently asked questions our clients find useful. If there is anything else that you wish to know about Serendipity Massage Therapy & Wellness, please either contact us here or call us on 0141 673 6630.

Your comfort is our priority at all times. Therapeutic massage can involve working on areas of tension that feel tender, but your therapist will always work within your comfort levels. Please do not hesitate to speak up during your session if you would like more or less pressure — good communication helps us deliver the most effective treatment possible. You should leave feeling better, not worse.

Massage therapy is safe for most people, but some conditions require extra care. Please let your therapist know about any health conditions, injuries, medications, or recent surgery before your session. Conditions such as blood clots, open wounds, severe osteoporosis, or active skin infections may mean certain treatments need to be modified. We carry out a brief consultation before your first appointment to make sure your treatment is right for you.

Our sessions range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the treatment you choose. A 60-minute session is the most popular option and a great starting point if you are new to massage. Longer sessions allow your therapist to work across the whole body in greater depth. Full details of session lengths and pricing are available on our booking page.

Try to arrive a few minutes early so you have time to settle in before your session. Avoid a heavy meal for at least an hour beforehand, and drink plenty of water both before and after your treatment. For Traditional Thai Massage you can remain fully clothed, so wear something loose and comfortable. For oil-based treatments you will be asked to undress to underwear — towels and blankets are provided at all times to preserve your privacy. Please tell us in advance about any injuries or areas you would like us to avoid.

This depends on your individual needs and goals. If you are working through a specific issue such as chronic tension or stress, weekly sessions are often recommended initially, reducing to fortnightly or monthly as things improve. For general wellbeing and maintenance, most clients find a monthly session works very well. Your therapist will be happy to recommend a schedule that suits you.

Traditional Thai Massage is performed fully clothed on a comfortable treatment table. Your therapist uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, forearms, knees, and feet to apply firm pressure along the body's energy lines and to guide you through assisted stretches similar to yoga postures. No oils are used. Sessions typically leave you feeling both deeply relaxed and physically lighter, with noticeably improved flexibility and reduced muscle tension.
